Meet the Founder – Bill Mauger

Bill Mauger grew up in a large family on Canada’s East Coast, where hard work and community values shaped his future. He dedicated 11 years to the Canadian Armed Forces, including two back-to-back NATO tours, before transitioning to civilian life to focus on both family and business.

A natural entrepreneur, Bill first launched a communication services company and even wrote a book on technology. But in 2006, he found his true calling—helping homeowners with their home improvement needs. That’s when Your Local Handyman Inc. was born.

With a passion for problem-solving and efficiency, Bill developed a business systems approach that streamlines operations, maximizes success, and helps fellow tradespeople thrive. His expertise led to the release of his second book, GET THREE QUOTES—a must-read for homeowners navigating renovations. His third book is due out this Spring and the fourth this Summer. Stay tuned!

Today, Bill continues to consult with Handyman Services and tradespeople, helping them grow their businesses with proven strategies. His trademarked processes are now used by professionals looking to build strong, efficient, and customer-focused businesses.
